As I previewed on the comments, looks like an above average upscale, but if you use your pc connected to your Full HD monitor, you will surely prefer TV-Japan raws. Best on the Japanese P2P seems.
In a nutshell:
1) WMV9 sucks (My computer couldn't play it smoothly, took 360 minutes to convert it to h264 and AAC)
2) Xbox didn't want to play red colors of this raw
3) Pixels on some scenes
4) Upscale problems in some sequences.
There are other releases but seem like they are irregular and a lot huger. Probably not worth it.
So I'm accepting requests for new series (Sayonara ends next week, true tears 3 episodes left if the guy on share wants to end it), although I probably will just stick with hayate, until I watch more of the new anime season.

Thanks for the info. So no need to release this. WMV9 sucks, as I thought.
WMV isn't a bad codec though. I just DL'd a movie and its 1080p, 4.5gigs, ripped from BD and it looks perfect. No blocks or anything, its wonderful. Even the best H.264 files at that bit rate from BD have blocks every now and then. These might be bad encodes. Are you saying that the WMV file wouldn't play on your 360 or your H264 re-encode wouldn't play?

When it comes to very high bitrate, there not much difference between different codecs. But h264 is still better. I have compared some BD rips of AIR TV and I can tell that h264 is superior. Plus WMV itself is evil, and not recommended for experienced encoders. I think the guy who did Shana II 1080p raw doesn't have much experience in encoding.
He improved a lot since CLANNAD 1080 (It was totally unwatchable) so I sorta knew that I could get something as bad as I downloaded a while ago.
The fact that the mp4 plays better in Xbox 360 (CLANNAD raws bloqued my system and produced a temporary red ring of death!), ps3, my computer, and faster reencoding without wicked tools, makes it a better codec
